A. Yes! DCC offers both in-person and telehealth counseling sessions.
Q. How long is a therapy session?
A. A typical counseling session is fifty minutes long. However, one-and-a-half and two hour sessions can be booked upon request.
Q. What can I expect in my first therapy appointment?
A. The first session will be focused on getting to know you and identifying your current needs to better partner with you in establishing a plan and treatment goals, both short and long term. Prior to the first session you will be asked to fill out an intake form online. Payment is collected at check-in.

Q. What do you charge?
A. Private pay sessions are billed at $165 for a 50 minute session. A number of insurance plans are also accepted.
A. DCC accepts cash (exact change only), credit cards, debit cards, or checks.
Q. Do you accept insurance?
A. DCC is credentialed with several insurance providers including BCBS of DC (CareFirst), BCBS of Virginia (Anthem), CIGNA, Magellan, TRICARE, and UnitedHealthCare.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. If for any reason you need to change or cancel your appointment we ask that you notify us via phone or email at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If we do not receive notice of your cancellation a $50 missed fee may be charged to the card on file.

Q. Does DCC offer psychological evaluations or prescribe medication?
A. DCC does not currently have a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist on staff so we are unable to offer psychological evaluations or prescribe medication. Psychological evaluations and testing are performed by licensed psychologists, and psychiatric medications are prescribed by medical doctors.
